Where have I been?  Life has been a little______________.  I’m not even sure what word to place in that blank-disappointing, eye opening, sad, unstable, scary.  My husband and I have agreed to go our separate ways.  Not something that I’m really proud to discuss.  Unfortunately, it is a very big part of my life at this moment.  My living and work situation are very difficult.  I am still living and working with my husband.  I’m trying to save enough money to move out.  That might take a good 3-4 months.  Eek!  I hate divorce!  It is such an nasty process, especially for the children.  I pray to God that this goes smoothly.  I’m very blessed to a wonderful support staff!!  My family and friends have been so wonderful.  I have to give a big shout out to my Mom2.  God has really placed a wonderful person in my life.  Mom2 is so supportive and at times, down right hilarious.  Thanks MOM!  (I’m sure my Mom is very happy with Dad’s choice!)  I really can’t stress how much help my family has been lately!  Thanks to all!

The weekend was a little odd, but fun!

My good friend Kelly invited down to the lake for the evening.  We dined on olives, cheese, crackers, and turkey.  We enjoyed are latest beer fave-Bud Light Lime.  We watched Made of Honor for our evening girlie flick-cute movie.  The next morning we woke up to the most beautiful view of the lake.  We sat on the deck and enjoyed coffee and conversation.  The morning was topped off with a 6ml hike around the area.  Perfect morning.  This was a much needed girlfriend retreat.  There’s nothing more therapeutic then good conversation and beautiful scenery.

I drove home to relieve my husband of Bella duty.  He was off to do his thing the rest of the weekend.  Bella and I packed a swim bag and headed out to Papa and Grand Anne’s for a last swim day of the season.  Bella enjoyed the slide and and diving board in the very cold water.  Mom was a wimp-too cold for me!

My little fish!

My little fish!

We decided to have a little cookout.  While dinner was cooking Papa started a small bonfire.  It was so nice to sit with my Dad on the swing and just hang out.  (I wonder if he knows how important he is too me?)  Its the little things in life that can mean so much.  We enjoyed dinner outside on the deck and then Bella informed us that she was tired and wanted to go home.  I dreaded go home.  It was empty and not my home any more.  I can’t wait to get my own place.

Speaking of getting my own place-moving.  It seems like all my siblings are moving.  Stacey and Len finally have a new residence,  Steve and Tammy are on there way to their dream home, Mike and Annie have made their move, and Blair & Ralph are looking.  My poor address book is going to have alot of eraser residue.  I hope everybody gets their Christmas cards ok.

My Mom2, wait let me explain the “2″ after Mom.  I use this word out of respect for my deceased Mother.  My Mom was there for me in the first phase of my life 0-32.  She taught me so much and gave every ounce of herself to her family.  Here’s to you Mom!!  I love you and miss you very much!  My Mom2 is been there for me every since she met and married my Dad.  I find it very difficult to call her my Stepmother.  That word has such negative connotations.  So here’s to my Mom2!!

So let me start again.  My Mom2 has completed her list of 101 things to do in 1001 days.  What a great way to accomplish your goals.  I thought I would get started on my list.  I think this would be helpful to get life jump started.  I seem to be in a bad funk.  No motivation!  Hmm I wonder why?

Well, I’m off to enjoyed my free time with Bella.  I don’t have too many of these days left.
